Why a father built this
I built LUCA for my son. He struggled with reading from kindergarten, and for years nobody could tell us why. The night that broke me was ordinary: homework that should have taken fifteen minutes had taken ninety, and what I saw in his eyes was defeat. The help he needed had not been built, so we built it, with Carnegie Mellon. Luca is in college today. (Luca’s results are his own. Every child is different.) What I could not accept was the math: one reading specialist for every 211 students. The math was never going to work. So we changed it.

The parent creates the family account at family.luca.ai/signup, adds the child and enters the code at checkout. The card they enter is not charged for 12 months. Your grandchild reads that night.

One reader per Year, so buy two. The parent can also add a second reader to the family account, billed at the additional-reader rate ($24.30 or $29 by the plan's price).
